Application Details 1. By applying on-line, you will be creating an electronic account with AUA. Any electronic consent you provide with your unique AUA username and password serves as your authentic signature. 2. AUA relies on e-mail and the website as our primary source of communication with you. Therefore, it is important that you remain vigilant of your current e-mail account and are aware of any SPAM or mass-mail filters that may be in place. (Web-based e-mail accounts, such as Hotmail, may have strict limitations on mailbox storage and group correspondence.) You are required to check your e-mail regularly for communication from AU Abroad. 3. You should be aware that all AUA participants must sign a Consent and General Release Agreement prior to departure. Please review this document carefully as it describes the terms and conditions for AUA participation, student conduct rules, and a waiver of legal liability. AU Abroad Program Eligibility Requirements and Conditions for Admission By submitting my application and the supporting documentation as described in this on-line application process, I certify and agree to the following: 1) I certify that the information I provide throughout this admission process is accurate and complete; 2) I confirm that I am in good academic standing at my home institution; 3) I confirm that I have no pending disciplinary case or discipline record of which I have not disclosed in the application. I understand that the existence of a pending discipline case or a disciplinary record may prohibit me from participating in AUA; 4) I will notify AUA of any changes to my information, including my status related to discipline and academic standing at my home institution; 5) I grant the University permission to use any photographs, audio, and/or videotapes of me and quotes taken from me in connection with AUA for any educational and other purposes related to the business of American University; and 6) I agree that by submitting my application and thereafter any electronic consent that I provide by using my unique AUA username and password serves as my authentic signature.
